I need to bypass my 460 mach stereo and install aftermarket cd player

i need a diagram or something that can show me how to do that... i put a carb 351 in my v6 body vert and cannot figure out the stereo

Sorry, I don't know much or have anything for stereos.
I would suggest that you try a Google search using various terms for what you need.
Also an image search will more often than not turn up the information you need.

You are going to hate me... if you are trying to do new speakers you have to do the works... rewire, speakers, 4 channel amp, new deck, everything. If you are just wanting to do the deck then a harness kit should do the trick

Or instead of doing all that there is a special wiring harness its like 35 bucks but it works so u don't have to by pass anything

Ya it does but in the long wrong the 35 dollar harness will be cheaper then buyin new speakers and wires to run it

If you're just trying to swap the head unit you can keep the factory amp and use a converter like this Amazon.com: Scosche SLC4 Speaker Level Converter With 80 Watt Max: Car Electronics

Check out crutchfield.com. They have live chat and explain what you'r doing and they will point you in the right direction. Doing a swap on my mach460 this weekend. Good customer service.

For speaker that are well priced, check out Sonicelectronix.com they are One of the better websites and have the best prices. Also kicker makes pretty good speaker.

Pls help me out Guys same problem I put a new deck In but now I want to put new speakers in but now the new speakers sound like crap do I have to by pass the amp ?

fade the head unit more to the front speakers thats what i did problem solved

OK here is the problem... ford made the system to run on a 3 ohm circuit, but most after market speakers run on 4ohms. So you need to get a four channel amp to replace the stock amps

O OK what I did because it was easier is run new wires from head unit to the front doors and to be the back that's all that worked on mine so I did it isn't hard

you dont need a bypass walmart sells wiring harness kits for 9 dollars that is just a plug and play type of deal.
