Amp Newbie Some Basic Questions

First of all i have a 2006 with the Shaker 500 Speaker set up. I replaced my Head-unit and added a powered sub so i wouldn't have to mess with the amp. My lower kickers cut in and out (they don't distort or anything like that) I'm wondering if i replace the two stock amps up under the dash by the gas pedal. If that will solve that problem. Can i replace those two amps with one higher powered amp? Do any of you think that would stop the whole cutting in and out problem. it happens at about 60% Volume (depending on how its EQed) Also any recommendations on what kind of amp i should or need to get to fix this? Last and Final Question Any Replacement speakers for the kickers that require minimal modification or none?
