adding subs - Mustang Evolution

adding subs

I want to put 1 12 in my 03 gt. I don't want to chang my stock head unit though. I bought a rca adapter that goes to the back speakers but when I hooked it up my sub bearley does anything. Why?

You have to wire the amp to your factory head unit... And make sure your ground is ok... Also idk of you can run the sub off factory was unit because it is not compatible... Mustang are ver tricky that's why I changed everything off my mustang like speakers and head unit!!

My Amp has it's own Volume control knob, that I ran up to the front seat with me.

Check your fader. Your subs will run off rear fader. If that's the RCA you hook up thru your 6x9 speakers

I have it faded all the way back and still don't do much

Head unit should be the first thing you buy with a system IMO. Stock is garbage underpowered and bad quality. you can tap the amp into your rear speaker wires tho.
