Make sure 1) Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone (i know, but I have to ask).
2) that you don't have any other bluetooth device linked while trying to pair/link sync to the iPhone.

3) try clearing all devices on sync, and removing the existing sync pairing in the iPhone.

Bluetooth was on and it said I was discoverable but it didn't show any devices on my phone and my car says none are available.

So I think you first have to navigate to a setup menu (on sync) to pair the car/sync with any phone. Add device perhaps. During that setup, it will show a pairing code and at that time, you phone will "see" sync on the Bluetooth discover menu. You tap on that and enter the code to pair.

I don't think you are in that setup
Menu in sync.
