Lightbulb Full-proof solution to 6 disk cd changer cd error and cd jam

I have read up on many of other peoples' solutions on fixing the factory 6 disk CD changers by Mach. Many of other peoples' solutions are incomplete so this will help someone who is as frustrated as I used to be. Well here are the full-proof steps to fixing the CD changer:

When you push eject and the CD jams...

1. take two knives (tweezers are too wide) and "tweeze" the CD out of the CD changer. This could cause damage to the CD, but it's better than not having a functioning CD changer.

Usually, the CD changer goes back to normal after this step. If it doesn't, close the lid of the CD changer, where it says CD-6 by...

2. Unplugging the car battery (5/16th on mine), plug it back up after about 30 seconds, and viola! The CD changer closes. Push the CD button and WAIT until it stops making noise. It's checking which CDs are occupied in every CD slot and realigning the CDs that are in the CD changer.

Well I hope that helps. The heat of the summer is what jams my CDs. I only have this problem during the summer.

Awsome sugestion

I have a iphone adapter wired into the CD changer and listen to that exclusively rather than cart CD's around like we used to do. Grandkids wanted to listen to some Christmas songs so like an idiot I put a CD in there . . . . fail !
After extracting the CD with a pair of surgical alligator forceps. I still had CD error and the changer showed position 6 full and wouldn't function. Even the iphone deal didn't work.
Was at the point of pulling the radio out and was surfing net for places to send it to when I noticed h4rrison's post.
Worked just like he said.
Dude you the man !
