There are different levels of audio systems equipped in the Mustang. The Mach 500 (500 watts) has 8 speakers, the Mach 1000 (1000 watts) has 10 speakers. All component level speakers with their own designated frequencies to make (lows, mids, and highs) unlike the normal setup like yours where all frequencies are jammed into a couple different sizes, mostly generic sizes around 6 inches which create your average run of the mill car audio system. Also, higher level audio players will play .mp3 format on CD's Hope this helps ya!
