This is the Pioneer unit I have. I love it.
Has HD radio. Sirius. Cd. Bluetooth. USB(I have a 32g flash drive I play my music from)
Can also play movies if you're on a long drive(just don't watch and drive)
With the blue tooth, all my calls are hands free. Has voice recog. Hell, even my phone book on my iPhone shows up on the screen. I just scroll thru to make a call
Can also have navigation added at a later time. And can also hook up a reverse camera.
I paid $499 + install.
And it really wakes up the sound system.
Has 2 custom equalizers. It's almost as if you are in a sound studio with all the different controls on it.
Needless to say, I was a lil apprehensive about it cause it didn't have the navi built in(but most of us have iPhones, who needs navi). I've had it since the week before Christmas and it is by far the best non performance upgrade to my stang.

If you'd like, I can make a short video tomorrow of the different functions it has. It's quite impressive.
The same unit with navi was just shy of $1,000. I opted to go without navi and it was $499. And the good thing is, I can always have navi loaded into it.

Metra has dash kits and wiring kits for the 2013 mustang already. Part # 99-5823CH they run about $300.

So probably not worth throwing a el cheepo deck in. Might as well go with one that at least has built in nav, sat, and HD radio

Yeah that is the plan. I will do it I may wait a few more months. I was on crutchfield and would get everything for about $600. But there dash kits are on back order.

Lol. I could see the outline for the lady but it was not lit up... After some tinkering I found out that if you hold the big center button that chooses head/feet for about 10sec. It will change. You can also mix the red, green, and blue backlights to make any color and make the display read a message like "mustang"

I really like my Sony deck. I found it on sale after searching around. It picks up my Bluetooth and everything as soon as i am in the car, no problem working with the latest I phone updates...something some other units are haveing issues with...pioneer... Video quality is nice too, I was impressed with the clarity.

That mud flap lady is awesome, nice work. I have been on the fence forever about getting a touchscreen for my '06 mainly because I can't stand not having an auxiliary in and having my XM receiver in my console and not the stereo.

The one I almost bought last year is now $150 cheaper than it was then so it's $299 + XM kit which is around $80 so it's getting harder to decide between a tuner or a new head unit. I also get nervous about it screwing with my Shaker 1000 system. I love it too much.

+1 I've got the setup and it has woken up the speakers compared to my factory shaker 500

i got the Sony XAV-64BT
Sony XAV-64BT DVD receiver at Crutchfield.com

You will need a wiring harness interface (PAC's C2R-FRD1) and an antenna adaptor

I took some time to find the seat deals I could so I found the head unit online for around $275, the dash kit was $220. The wiring harness was around $65 and the antena adaptor was $5... I think once it was done I spent around $600

Install was super easy. I have had experience with many other installs in other cars and this is one of the easiest. It's just a matter of poping off a few panels and removing a few bolts. The hardest part is disconecting the stock antenna (just reach back and pull HARD on the cable from behind the unit). Now you can take the wireing harness you bought and the one that comes with the new radio and literally just spice together the common color cables. Once that is done you just conect all the harnesses together and put it all back in. Piece of cake, took me an hour at most and I was takeing my time... I will also say that if you wire the parking break wire into the ground that you won't have any issues with the DVD not working when in drive... I DO NOT recommend this as it is a safety feature but just as an FYI...

Blue tooth works as it should. It automaticity connects to my iPhone when the car starts. Calling is clear even with my loud exhaust. Girlfriend says there is some background noise but she can hear me clearly. I put the mic in the bottme drivers corner of the windshield. It was easy to hide the cable to get it there and it is hidden well. I can also play music from my phone and control it with the unit, that is a plus.

All of this should fit your 2013 just fine. Look to make sure the dash kit fits but if it does then everything else will too.

I didn't get mine from crutch field. I decided to piece it all together but at the end of the day it's all pretty much the same stuff

What install kit did you use? I want to add this deck but don't want to pay $300 for the metra kit. I like the way this looks anyways and would rather keep my a/c controls like they are.

That kit was for the 05-09. If you have the 10-14 your going to need the metra kit as your radio is built into the center dash, not just set in it like our older stangs.

Supply and demand. When some one with a all in 1 dash like that (not just the mustang) comes into the shop they usually don't end up buying a new deck unless they are going big like one of the $800 nav decks. Other than a touch screen is there something your looking for that your factory deck dose not have? Bluetooth, iPod, pre outs? There are options out there to integrate with your factory deck. We did a slick 4 channel mono block set up in a new focus that has the factory deck using a kicker ZXSUM8 to get us our low level signals and some extra tuneability.

You can add bluetooth modules behind the radio. But the only way to change the look is by replacing the radio. Id take a look at the alpine perfect fit radio. It comes in a built in panel but it gives you a 8in screen vs a standard 7in double din.
