Aftermarket radui reset when car is off

Okay so I just hooked up a new head-unit in my car and when I turn the car off the radios memory resets. I thought it could be the constant 12v source but it only resets every few days. Any help?? Thx

No but I took it out again yesterday and discovers a 3rd yellow wire leftover from my old kenwood with memory written on it so I tied all 3 yellow wires together and I think that might of fixed the problem
