How do they sound?? I love the shaker system, but I feel as if I need to add an equalizer in order to achieve the sound I want and to not make the mids to sound so flat, tell me what ya think brother

Thanks man, I am as well, I think it sounds good as well, however, I think it could be better if we would just add an equalizer, think about that and see if you can find anything on that, I think that'll help a ton, but I haven't found anything on the subject, just another topic for ya man

I would like to hear how they sound too. RF maked solid speaker and anything aftermarket is probably going to sound better than the stock speakers.

Throw some sound deadener around the speaker hole and right behind it. I always find it makes it sound a little better and keeps the rattles away. Good luck with the install the rear speakers look like they are going to be a pain in the arse.

Yea I went and got me a couple sheets of dynamat that I plan to put in. Mainly on the transmission hump to keep some of the whine down. I plan on adding 2 12s a thousand watt amp for them and a 500 watt for the door speakers ill see how the 3 ways work then decide if I want to get some tweeters. Also going to add a oem summing device thinking about jl audios or kickers so I can keep the overhead stereo controls! But I have to save for a house so unfortunately mustangs on hold for a while ha but I got the iPad bezel from 3spro I'm waiting very patiently for!! Be here Friday

Here's the link to them shopping was very fast good packaging. They also throw in the adapters to plug right into the factory speaker connections for free so no splicing needed!

The rear install was painstaking for what you're removing everything for! The door speakers were a piece of cake.

Yes it was worth it but I will warn you upgrading the speakers makes for a clearer sound. With having a more clearer sound and listening to iTunes through a ipad you have to get quality songs or it will sound like poo ha but radio is fine!

I usually stream through Bluetooth and I'm a nut about quality sounding music, that's why I refuse to listen to Sirius radio, had it in 3 vehicles, all sound like crap! However, the speakers did make a big difference??

So am I! The highs are more crisp the lows are more deep the music just has more depth and allows you to adjust to perfection. I installed a full kenwood system in a 2011 Chevy, 4 door speakers 2 tweeters 500w to the doors and 1000 to the two 12's and just with these 6x8s can make sound just as good of course the exception of the hard hitting of the 12's but those are soon to come. People who plug their phones in and try to ply music sounds like crap cause the just converted it off of YouTube and are astonished at how bad it sounds.

I did the same in my old tacoma, I had Polk audio through out and 2 Phoenix gold 10's behind the seat...that was the best system I've ever heard. I'd love to get another system but I just don't want my trunk rattling so much, so I'm going to get a bigger amp and better 8's and an equalizer to fine tune everything so I can make those 8's hit as hard as possible and give them more power in the lower frequencies

Awesome! I'm looking to do the same but have to get a summing device to stay with the oem since I just put the ipad 4 in the dash! I don't want a rattling trunk myself!

If you do decide to change out the door subs and add an equalizer, which I would highly recommend, please inform me! Not trying to make you the guinea pig or anything, I just don't have the money right now, but I'd love to do that setup!

If you find 8s that will fit in the doors, let me know. The stock ones are very shallow and are a weird impedence.

I have seen the kickers but, the reviews I have read of them were pretty poor. One that I read said they sounded worse than stock.

I haven't heard that, I have heard they don't make that much of a difference and to not waste your money, but then again, live and let learn ya know? I honestly don't think they will be worse than stock, that sounds a little far fetched
