Moving ac controls for radio in 93 hatchback

Hey I just had the idea of moving my ac controls down and mounting a double din up higher, I know I could put a dd in where my radio is now but I think the shifter would be in the way. Just don't know if its possible, thanks!

Cool!

Yeah I finally found a site with some info on this, and I'm not sure if I wanna do it now. You have to extended all the vac lines on the back of the controls and there is an airbag module that has to be moved too
