Replacing mach 460

So I have an 04 with the Mach 460 sound system. I recently bought and installed an aftermarket DD head unit from pioneer. It is now time I completely redo the entire sound system! I'm going to go all aftermarket speakers and possibly some subs. I have it's a few questions! How hard is it And is it worth the hassle to install the new speakers myself? Or is it best to pay to get it professionally done? Also what is a good amount of sub for our cars? Lastly how much should I be expecting to pay for all this?

You can do it yourself, the only difficult part is the wiring. But i think best buy does installs with life time warranty for $100 also if you go bigger subs you should upgrade the alternator. I've read ours isnt that strong with more power

Me? I think 1 or 2 10s is fine. I have 1 in a ported box. I say $500 to $1000 for quality speakers, subs, amp, wiring. Do it urself mabye 2 or 3 hours. A shop maybe 300 to install everytime but you get warrenties and if any problems you can go back.
