From 2 10's to 2 12's?

What would be the difference in sound in going from to 10 inch subs to the exact same subs only 12's?

Depending on the quality of subs they will be deeper and pick up more lows

Yup. Dual mtx terminators. I was going put them in my next car (current car) but I have the Mach audio which is good enough for me.

Hmmm I wonder if they would work with my amp.... Would they just slide in the trunk? How much? Do you honestly think it will sound better than my 10's?? Or not much?

Have knowledge about a subject before purchasing a product. The size doesn't necessarily play a big part in how hard they hit. The main thing is the frequency range. Some 10-inch subs have lower ranges than 12-inch subs. The maximum allowable wattage, coupled with the frequency range of the speaker can give you a decent estimate of the speaker's capacity to hit hard.

For example, a 10-inch sub with a frequency range of 20 Hz to 150 Hz, and a wattage capacity of 1000 watts would hit lower and harger than a 12-inch sub with a frequency range of 30 Hz to 180 Hz and a wattage capacity of 700 watts.

I can tell you aren't very experienced in this area, lol.

You can't just buy any subs and throw them in the trunk and expect them to miraculously work with the amp .

You have to pay attention to the Ohm and wattage.

One JL audio 10 could sound 5x better than two MTX 12's. It's all about the quality of the sub.

I had a 10" Alpine Type R and my friend with 2 12" subs said mine hit as hard as his haha. I honestly think having 2 subs in a car as opposed to an SUV or truck is overkill unless it's for show.

^^ +1 I agree, I got a 10" kicker L7 and its more than enough for my car. Leaves some useable space in my trunk too haha
