Aftermarket head unit options

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade my factory base w/ SYNC head unit and wanted to make sure I have all the options figured out. With AM's new Raxiom unit, I think there are 3 ways to go:
1. Scosche/Metra kit (with extra module to retain SYNC/steering wheel controls),
2. Idatalink kit (also with SYNC module)
3. Raxiom (plug and play)

I love the Idatalink kit but the requirement of a Kenwood double DIN is somewhat limiting and it's also the priciest.

I like what I've read about the Raxiom kit so far, except that I'd still be using the factory deck. To improve sound I think I'd have to install a line converter to amplify the speakers (installed some JL audios a couple months back) since the deck can't power them properly.

I see that with the Raxiom you have to wrap up the SYNC/AC module and leave them behind the LCD when you install it so I'm not sure if there's enough space back there to stash a line converter.

Any thoughts on a way to go the Raxiom route and still get decent sound?

Put the line converter somewhere else.
