Double Dins

hey guys I'm looking to get a double din for my 2006 pony and was wondering what some of you guys might recommend.. I definitely want the blue tooth function and not too worried about built in gps navigation but dvd player would be nice.. and also I'll be using this deck on stock oem speakers

Add a mki9200 from parrot and you'll have everything you can think of. This is what i'm about to do. Also keeps the stock amp which in my case is the shaker and i love it

I use a Pioneer AVH3300bt and it's pretty awesome. However I've had it for a few years and in sure there's newer and better units out now. That being said I still love the responsiveness and quality of this unit.

That's where you should order from, they are so much help even if you don't have a clue how to install they will help step by step

I love my Kenwood. Better than a Pioneer. Tried em both and the Kenwood has a much better overall feel imo. Plus the sound quality felt much fuller and richer.

+1 I've had both in different vehicles. Pioneer and Kenwood are both pretty quality when it comes to head units. As well as Alpine.

However I always gravitate back to Pioneer. It's just a matter of choice. You can't go wrong with either. But jut remember typically you get what you pay for. Audio is no different than performance parts.

It all kind of comes down to your own preference too. What I like and what you like may be two totally different things. But what you said is exactly right. You get what you pay for.

Yah that makes sense btw did any of you replace the door speakers or make any other audio changes other than the deck?

Absolutely. Running Alpine Type-R 60c's in my door and Alpine Type-R 6x8s in my rear deck. Both of them have foam baffles to prevent rattling. Gonna add a 15" Type-R sub this summer hopefully.

did you add an amp after it? because it's peak output is 4x50w and the shaker has 4x125 or you had the non shaker one before?

What dash kit did you use. It looks really clean and factory looking.

What is the best, most factory looking dash kit out there? I want it to look as if it could be factory.

Typically any dash kit from crutchfield will look good, I'vr never got a bad one from them.

I used to love pioneer, but their dvd double din decks seem geared towards the iphone...I'm shopping for something more inline with android.

Did a lot of research and ended up with the Pioneer AVH-X3500BHS - $300 from Crutchfield. Plugged straight into my stock Mach 1000 amps & speakers. Couldn't be happier.

You could buy the dash kit at frys electronic for $20 and you get both double deck a screen stereo. Best buy has it to but it's $30 for the screen stereo

Sent from my SGH-M919 using Mustang Evolution mobile app
