2013 mustang sub box

Ok! Soooo quick question... Sooo I have a 2013 mustang... And i installed 2 12 inch subs. SSL (sound storm lab) great subs!! 4,000 rms peak for the 2 combined. It's running off of a 1250 watt amp. Not sure the name but it's not like a cheap name. It produces good wattage. Lol anyway! I have just a regular 2 12 sub box. But I have seen stuff on like zenclosures.com that have a perfect fit. So I bought 1! Sucked... Bad... Perfect fit!! But like 1.1 cubic feet and my subs need atleast 2 cu ft to preform decently. My question is... Does anybody have or know where I could possibly get a box that would fit in the back without costing like $150+. Also I can possibly build... Not that experienced but I can give it a try. Thnx for any response! Click image for larger version

If the box from zenclosures fit why not use the same specs but make it come out more?

Nope wouldn't fit even when I put the face of the box separate from the body of it. And no wouldn't fit through the seat part. Haha what about 2 different sub boxes? Like 2 single 12 inch sub boxes

Yeah that's what I was going to do build it to slide right in cuz the inside of ours has that little hump inside, but I wanted to build one for two but I hope I don't run into the same problem as you

If u have 10 inch subs. Then nah! U shouldn't. Just google the cu ft Ur subs need to get max power. And do that b4 u do ur subs. And if it doesn't fit, just sell it or somethin. Idk! Haha but u shouldn't have the same problem.

Making your own box is easy. Just google your subs, you should be able to find something that says the optimal box dimensions for those subs. Most likely on the manufacturers website or in an owners manual. And youtube how to assemble it! Screw + woodglue and a jigsaw is all you'll need

It is very easy! I've done it! But the problem is, with the 2013 and 14's I know that the tail lights come up and make it hard for a normal sized box to fit. Like a normal 2 12 inch sub box. Will not fit. It has to b like tilted or the box designed at an angle.

that one says it requires sync.... I still thought about getting it, but at that price I want to be able to use all of the features. I want to install a backup camera anyway so it would be perfect if only I had sync

Yea 2 12"s def will not fit lol i had a 12 in a custom box in my '95 and i had to put it in the backseat lol. Go xzibit style and cut out the backseats and add like 10 more subs lol. I dunno what to say tho if ya wanna fit 2 12"s in and have the box sized to spec. Take some measurements, maybe itll fit if you can assemble some of it inside the trunk (pre-cut pieces and jst screw tem togeter inside). I got 2 10's that im deciding what to do with in my '14 base too.

Yea haha delete the rear seats and just make a really good looking fiberglass box with like 4 12's and 2 15's hahaha that'd b pretty cool. But nah haha imma just probably assemble it in the trunk. I was trying to make it like... Perfect fit and clean looking! But that's not the best option i guess. Haha

Yea... It just makes it so complicated with the gas tank curve and everything. I I may just go the single box for each. And just put them in the corners.

Yeah it pisses me off, we could have a lot more trunk space after you set your subs in there if you could place them all the way back somehow

Build a fiberglass box where the spare tire is and set the sub in flush with the floor.

Nah. My mustang is my dd. so a spare would b nice. Plus 2 12's wouldn't fit. Nor have enough air space.

Sell it for parts

2 12"s will rattle your car into the ground anyways. I got 2 10's in my winter beater mitsu eclipse and theyve rattled everything loose that they possibly could have, im talking parts falling right off. Even cracked my crappy dash :/

Now my exhaust in my stang is all the music i need
