So I think this is pretty awesome. I got one on order but it's a 2 month wait...

I watched the video and it looks like a good product. Very interesting. But for $379 and its really just the dock/holder not really worth the money in my opinion.

I agree, it's a bit pricy but for someone who wants a touch screen Nav and Internet among other things the alternative is the $2000 ford MyTouch upgrade or at least a $700 head unit plus Modules and bezel. Which adds up to upwards of $1000 if not $1500. So if one already has an iPad Mini the $400 mount makes the stang look really nice with no permanent modifications.
But I can understand how hard it is to justify the price for a simple iPad holder.

I could buy the Raxiom head unit for 700 bucks or spend more than that on an iPad and it's nearly-400-dollar holder. Maybe if I already had an iPad, but only maybe.

I'd buy it if it was priced around $100-$200 Range and if I already had an iPad mini as well. This kinda makes me want to get an iPad mini just for this lol

Idk... I thought about that Raxiom unit...I just don't like the way it looks. It's too"flat"

Gotcha. Nothing wrong with that. I would prefer the Raxiom because of the price, obviously, but also because it looks like a stock part. Only problem is, if I ever get around to rounding up the $700 for it, I'd probably get someone else to install it. I just wouldn't know how. Haha

Looking on www.americanmuscle.com it doesn't look too hard it seems to be Plug and play. Still I can't get over the flatness of it haha, and the iPad mount seems to give a little more ..."flare". Good unit tho.

They take too long to make em, I'm trying to get one once I get it I'll make 300 3d printer copies of it and sell it for 100$
I don't know why they take 2 months to make em

So if you did the iPad mini mount, would there be a way to at least add a backup camera like the Raxiom unit?

Good question! I don't know.....I'm sure there is a way, maybe with a wireless camera. I'll definitely look into that.

After asking the question, I found a camera that uses an App and Bluetooth to connect. Could be and interesting project. Just don't like the 2+ month wait for the bezel.

That sounds pretty cool. My only gripe on that is the fact that having a backup camera is only convenient if it turns on by itself when the car is put in reverse. It just seems to me that having that set up you would have to start the app first and go from there.... It's a matter of convenience.
And yes the wait time is ridiculous....😭

Hey ppl i got an reply from Musicar NW
Hey Cristian,

I saw your post on the forum about making 3d copies of my design. I guess you don't realize that we are not a manufacturing plant here. We are a relatively small custom car audio shop. I created a custom solution for a very good customer of mine and posted a video of it on our YouTube channel. A lot of Mustang owners really liked the idea, they liked my execution, and they asked me to make them some. So, I've spent countless hours and many late nights trying to accommodate them. I'm not getting rich off of this little side project.

If you'd like to come up with your own design for the Mustang and replicate it and sell it for $100, you are more than welcome to do so. As it is, I won't be sending you one of mine to copy. I am removing your name from the waiting list. Good luck in your endeavors.

Tom Miller

Well i like to announce , that i found someone that ill make that same design for me, as soon as i have time to leave my car for the measurements, ill make the 3d printer copies, and ill ebay the hell out of them.
i dont want to make money on them Either and i wont, but ppl cant wait to get this things and IM tired of waiting, i so the other ppl.
Catch y later

Dude do it!! Their $380 price tag is super ridiculous. I was talking to them the other day and the owner was like he's planning on increasing the price because of huge demand. Add to it the price of an iPad mini if you don't have one. I'd rather spend this huge chunk of money on performance mods!

I was on the original waiting list and it took to long. So I ended up getting maestro dash kit and kenwood DNX790hd from trisound.

It was a real good design, but to long of a wait. I would like to get something like it for my wifes soul, for the kids.

My friend with a 2014 got on a early wait list for one of those and installed it last month. Looks great on the outside and fitment is great but the backside is ****. It looks like there wasn't a lot of care or pride that went into it. In all honesty it looks like **** on the backside.
