Which first, speakers or amp?

I have a bone stock 2012 base vert. I want to do some minor stereo upgrades over the next few months. My music taste is mostly County, Classic Rock, or Adult Hits type stuff.

Would I be best served with an initial $150 outlay for new speakers or a small alpine 4 x45 amp?

Looking past that, will a slim line powered sub fit under any seat? Maybe the rear seat? I haven't looked that far yet, but I'm guessing no.

Thanks in advance,

'Slot

if your going to upgrade go with an amp and a good set of speakers that match.

if you want to add a powered sub the only way to go is the infinity basslink

ive been doing car audio for years and the infinity basslink is the best bang for your buck, it will easily fit in our trunk and you will still feel the bass when it hits. the under seat subs dont cut it in my opinion.

everything you want to do depends on your budget, that way i can give you a few options on what to do that fit what you want.

working around your budget this is just a quick pick of what will be your best bang for your buck.

theses speakers are great both off the head unit and an amp

the sub will be easily heard from the trunk

and if you want to spend a few more bucks you can add the amp i have listed

speakers

sub

amp

Speakers. If your current speakers are not cutting it, adding more power to them will only make their weaknesses louder.

I did new speakers all around and slowly built my system. Found a deal on a ported 10 box, then found my right 10. Then the right amp. Ended up returning most of it and getting it all bought and done at best buy- when you buy more you get really good deals. Plus, they price matched everything, so it was WAY cheaper than originally planned.
