im a car audio junky so i need to have my system in my car.
i will be pushing over 6000 rms watts just to my subs and another 1000 rms to the speakers
what was the hardest part of that setup, ie. removing door panels, swapping out speaker wires...
and any tips on taking apart the center console to get to the back of everything?
Sounds like you're going to add some serious power to your car. Are you planning on doing some serious sound deadening mods too? Swapping out the speaker wires in the doors was definitely the hardest part. You will have to remove the Molex connectors from the doors and drill a 5/16" hole in the corner of each one to pass the new speaker wire through. This will be even more of a challenge if you don't have small hands. Removing the console trim is very easy, just unscrew the shifter knob and lift up on the console trim at the rear and work your way forward. You will have three connectors to unplug before you can completely remove the console trim piece. The radio trim unsnaps and then you will have to remove the screws holding the radio in. Next you will pull the radio out as far as you can, reach underneath and unplug the wiring connectors to remove the radio.
