Mach 460 door speaker 6x9 swap?

My driver side door speaker blew and I don't wanna replace it with a factory speaker again so I wanna put after market speakers in the doors. Will 6x9s fit? Anyone else swap out the Mach 460 speakers?

Check Crutchfield. The Mach systems have 8 ohm speakers. Finding aftermarket replacements is a challenge.

I don't think a 6x9 will fit. I Think only a 5x7 or 6x8.

yea you need an 8 ohm 6x8 which, if possible to find, wont leave you much choice in brand or price. unless someone knows how increase the resistance to the speakers. the only way i know of will share the power between multiple speakers for only one channel. so change the tweeters and rewire maaaybe. still probably wont turn out well.

I am having the same issue
I bought a 97 gt that the guy messed everything up. I have a kenwood radio that only plays tweeters so I'm trying to figure out how to get the full sound.
I don't think the amps work.
