Question on Speakers

Sorry if this is repeat (darn new guy).

The 2012 Base Model the speakers are pretty much equivalent to a pringle can. And finding a Sub Box for the convertible is near impossible. Im always looking for advice. what you guys are running?

I ordered these door panels (attached photo) today

Installed:
Head Unit: Kenwood DNX6190HD
Speakers: Polk Audio db5251-using 5 1/4 Speaker Adapter Plates--replaced both pairs of 6x8s with .

Not yet installed:
Polk Audio db1040DVC Series 10" subwoofer
PowerBass Amp-ASA3 1100.5 5ch Amplifier
I have not hooked up my amp or sub yet (waiting to find/get a sub box).

Custom Sub Enclosure | Affordable Sub Box

Here you go. I use the coupe version and it's a nice box.

The Pringles line =

I describe my OEM speakers (same car) as sounding like 4 drunken friends playing the bridge in Bohemian Rhapsody with kazoos.

I'm sure yours will be a nice upgrade..I just swapped mine out with entry level Focals and it was a huge improvement but bass is lacking.

Focals just a tad to expensive for me...in hindsight maybe they weren't. Here's hoping the wife doesn't notice upcoming changes.

I had Kenwood 3-ways in my 2012, now I need 3-ways for my 2014 Blue Cyclone.

as I said entry level ones....they were in Crutchfields clearance bin for $120 - $10 coupon code.

I like them but they were the 1st speaker I've owned that I had to play for a while to break them in the Bass stunk at 1st. I bought demo Paradigms for my home system which rock.

I ust did a major upgrade on my system. Shortly after I got my car I replaced all the audio. I was never really happy with the results for the amount of money I spent. This weekend I bought an Alpine PXA H800 processor along with the RUX 800 display. I got it hooked up and did a couple of quick adjustments....man its night and day. If you ever really want to get some really nice sound a processor is the way to go. Not cheap but worth it.
