Looking for some audio advice

Head Unit: Kenwood DNX6190HD

Speakers:
1. Front door and rear-Polk Audio db5251-using 5 1/4 Speaker Adapter Plates--replaced both pairs of 6x8s with.
2. Installing new door panels this week-have the 8 inch subs but not the amps for them.

3. Polk Audio db1040DVC Series 10" subwoofer (in box in trunk)

4. PowerBass Amp-ASA3 1100.5 5ch Amplifier

I originally bought the amp to run the d5251s and the sub (5 speakers).

5. Now I have the door subs, and wondering if the best best is to find a small 100 watts amp for them.

Can one of you mentor me and tell me the best was to do this? I was also considering just running the rear speakers from the head unit...and just add the subs to the amp.

It's a pretty strong amp so I know it could handle--but open to ideas and suggestions from the mustang family. Thoughts? Help??

Ray

Ok let me see if I can help you. Ive done extensive work to my system, Im no expert but Ive tried a lot of stuff...

Basically amp as much as you can. Although it would be ok and fairly normal to run the rears off the HU.

As far as the door subs go this can be a bit of a pain. I replaced my door subs with s with the Shelby Kickers. What kind of door subs do you have? After you answer that I have more advice for you...

Did your car come with the subs originally? If you plan on using something other than a stock sub amp you blow those things in no time.To be honest I wouldnt even use them.

No, I bought new door panels--with speaker no amp--are the Shelby subs the better option to replace with? I thought I could run 50 rms to stock without blowing--but now you have me thinking

Yes the Shelby kickers are way better. The stock one cant handle any power, trust me you'll blow them in a heartbeat. Dont use the stock ones with an aftermarket amp...PERIOD!! If youre going to do it, do it right the first time. Trust me, running the speaker wire thru the door isnt super easy, we have Molex Plugs..

Actually, if youre interested I think Ill be selling my Shelby subs. I dont know how soon you need them because I wouldn't even do anything with them until next week. They are in awesome shape, Im just going in a different direction...
