OK, here's the thing, I know you like the Stereo, I did also. However: It is WAY easier to change the Stereo, when you need to Modify the system. It can be done with the Stock stereo, but it is soo simpler for you and Stereo Shops to do if you have a aftermarket Stereo. It took me a long time to switch it out, I was hung up on the fact that the unit was a CD Changer holding multiple CDs. That unit will run it's course and you will still need to replace. Like I said, you can just do speakers and Amps.

What KATO said

You can replace everything but the stock head unit. All new speakers and subs in the doors if you have those.

But the stock shaker 500 doesn't have enough power, which means you'll need an another amp to power the new speakers or subs. Replacing speakers but keeping factory stereo (not adding amp) you won't get the sound or potential out of it.

Okay regardless, if i change the stereo or not, do i need an amp? Im looking for more bass and i have subs. I personally dont care for how loud they go just quality of sub sound.

You adjust it to where it does not blow anything. Amps are adjustable.

Its straight foward to connect. I added an amp to my stock stereo with a sub, did it in about an hour or so, also attached my amp to the seat and looks very proffesional.

You sir are my idol. Took me almost 3 hours installing amps and a bass processor in my moms kia rondo. She wanted the stock radio so i had to do the LOC and it was a pain in the ***. I will admit that half the time i spent looking for a way to pass the power wire

Lol, i asked before i installed on mine. when i started working on it i knew where every cable would go and how to remove the trims and seats. I Have many tools so i say thats a big plus and time reducer.
