How Hard is a Head Unit Install Really?

I want to upgrade my head unit in a 2012 Mustang V6 base.

I've installed a steep in my old car, a 1995 Grand Prix and it wasn't bad with the wire harness adapter. It maybe took me an hour and most of it was figuring out how to disassemble the dash with no guide.

I love my Mustang and don't want to break anything on it. I'm also not super mechanically savvy. Would I be able to pull off an install on my own? I'm on maybe a $300 budget and want to get something with Bluetooth that can power my Kicker speakers a little better (no amp or subs wanted).

Its very easy. If you've done one in the past you can do this one.

the install is easy really, but on a $300 budget? thats gonna be hard to accomplish, you need the head unit itself, wiring harnesses, and a dash panel that has climate controls, as you know the climate controls are gone once you remove the factory stereo. you'd be hard pressed to do this on a $400 budget

Ya, after some research, I see that now. The stupid dash panels are expensive. My old car it was like $25. But I guess it's all due to the climate controls.
