2010 Base V6 speaker upgrade

Hi,

I was thinking of upgrading the front speakers on my 2010 Mustang V6 Coupe to these: Infinity Kappa 682.11cf 5"x7"/6"x8" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com.

Searching the forums, that seems like a good idea. What I didn't find out was, whether I should do the rear speakers, as well?

I'm not planning to change the head unit, or install a subwoofer at any point. You can still convince me that front speaker upgrade doesn't make sense in that case

I changed my fronts on a base 2014 with 6x8 kickers from Walmart. It's well worth the $60 I spent. I then adjusted the sound to about 60% front because the rears are so bad and the new fronts handle the sound better.
I would do the rear also for such a cheap and big improvement on the base stereo but the rear installation looks like more hassle and time that I don't have.
It looks like a 3 hour job.

Yes "Tuzban", change the Fronts and the Rears. You won't regret doing that.

I thought the fronts would be enough. Do the rears really add that much to the sound, especially compared to the work needed?

In my experience you'll get 75% of the improvement from the fronts and the rest changing the rears.

it's a few hrs work and was worth it to me. Yeah more of a pita than front but I did all 4 in an afternoon. Mud also suggests doing it.

I put the same speakers in my '14 front and rear. You will not be disappointed. They are great. I do agree with everyone else on here, you get most of the sound from the front. But, swapping out the rears will help out too...
