88 GT 6x9s rear deck?

Is this possible? I was able to fit the 6 x 9 in the passenger side but not on the driver side. The driver side seems to be a smaller cutout. Only reason I'm not putting in factory size is because I got a pair of Polk 3 ways for free. Thanks in advance!
