Steering wheel buttons with after market stereo

Hello guys ,

I Have Mustang GT 2012 and I have changed the stereo to Double din screen one but there is no place to put the steering wheel control in the screen so I'll have to buy an extension but I don't know the name one the wire so I can get extension for it

As you can see in the photo this wire im talking about

So any ideas or what should I do to make steering wheel buttons work ?

the screen I buy is Pioneer AVH-x5650bt

Best Regards,

ummmm, sorry but that is the Sirius antenna not steering wheel control. and there are a few options for SWC with an aftermarket system, PAC Audio makes one, Metra, and ADS as well

If so its easier to just change it

Yeah hooking up steering wheel controls isn't a simple single wire. The Axxess works pretty good as well as the PAC. The PAC could get little confusing because sometimes you have to solder resistors in line. Since you already have this done I'd go with Axxess. To make it really easy the Maestro system is the best! Not super cheap but the integration is the best I've seen.

To be honest I don't know if all the buttons will work. I used the Maestro to make sure I got full factory integration.

all the buttons will not work, when I first did an aftermarket system, I used the PAC SWC and they didn't all work

100% true, the Maestro system is the only way to go for seamless integration, I love my system!

yes that's everything you'll need minus a compatible headunit, certain Kenwood and Alpine units are your only choices. the ADS website will give you a listing of all compatible headunits. all of steering wheel buttons work, as well as Sync 100% works
