I should have done this instead of paying the extra money for the screen and navigation. Thsee seem to turn out nice.

I'd love all the details. Type of tablet (I know it is Samsung), how it is wired, what all it does, details of your install, etc.

I used a galaxy tab 4 the 7.0 inch screen one and it connects to my factory radio via Bluetooth so I can still use the steering wheels controls to pause and skip songs. For power I tapped in to fuse 33 on passenger side foot area it's a spare non used but it has 12v aux. I can do pretty much anything I want with it music, radio, navigation, video, u name it!!! It can probably be done in used the Internet from my cell as a Hotspot to connect the tablet also got me a obd Bluetooth device so I can put any gauges I want on the screen pulling info from my cars can port

So - if the tablet is connected to the car using bluetooth, does that mean that you cannot connect a cell phone? If so, how do you make calles. How is the tablet held in place? Since you cut out the original radio knobs and controls, did you have to leave them behind the tablet in the dash or what? Is the tablet removable? I know I will have more questions but this is a start. I appreciate your response.

You can definitely have ur tablet and cellphone connected Bluetooth at same time but on phone settings set up for phone Bluetooth only and tablet for audio Bluetooth only so u get audio streamed from tablet and phone calls from cell. I used hot glue to hold tablet in place and then a putty that hardens like steel and no the tablet is not removable I got this case

http://m.ebay.com/itm/Hybrid-Rugged-...124?nav=SEARCH

And discarted the rubber part used the hard plastic only as housing for the tablet so that glue wouldn't damage tablet and I would have a nice frame on the front as a guide to meet the section I cut off the dash

Very important is really fallow the steps on link I posted on second post on this thread it was very helpful for me and lots of questions I had answered there make sure you connect the phone and tablet before u start all this there is a way of doing it via the steering wheel controls but it's harder to do once you figure it out will be easier I bought and extra dash off eBay just so I keep the original one intact if I ever want to undo this I don't recommend doing the mod without an extra dash in case something goes wrong if any further questions just pm me ur phone# and we can talk more about it

Back in 2012 I did this in my Chevy Cruze

http://www.cruzetalk.com/forum/36-ge...blet-dash.html

Only problem I had was the winter killed the battery in the tablet and you had to drive a minute or two to get the thing powered back up and running again.
