Anyone else waiting to rip out their interior?

So, who else is planning or working on a whole system upgrade? What components are you using? Doing extensive sound deadening? Electrical upgrades? Any custom elements? Doing the work yourself?
Let's hear it (or at least read about it lol).

I'm waiting on warmer weather so I can get started installing sound deadening and running wire for my new system.
I'll be running a Soundstream T5.2500dl to Image Dynamics CTX57 up front, and a single Incriminator Audio Lethal Injection 12" in a sealed trunk enclosure.
Using the stock head unit for now - more for the stealth factor than anything else. (Probably will upgrade to Kenwood or Alpine unit and Maestro kit down the road)

I've got everything ready to go, and I'm running out of patience!

There's several things I wanna do but can't decide lol. On the audio front, I got a pretty good idea, waiting till summer to start something.

I just discovered that Kicker released an amp that is just ingenious! They have a new IQ lineup of amps that have a built in DSP so you don't have to buy a separate DSP or line output converter if using the factory stereo such as I, because my car has the Nav system. Their DSP gives you the ability to flatten out the factory eq curve, and adjust each channel with 31 bands of eq, time delay, phase adjustment, all that good stuff to get the sound you want from a PC, Android, or iOS phone.

What I'm looking at so far...

Amp/DSP: Kicker IQ1000.5 5ch amp and IQRC remote interface.
Front Speakers: JL Audio C3 5x7 convertible speakers, set up as coaxials. Leaving rear speakers disconnected.
Sub: JL Audio Mustang stealthbox enclosure loaded with a 13W3v3 sub.

Just for hell of it I'll put some sound deadener in the trunk, rear deck, inside doors, and the roof. I have a whole roll of deadener from 6 years ago that I forgot about

Sounds like a nice system in the works. Those IQ amps look pretty slick. I'm not worried about DSP until I upgrade the head unit though. Probably change the whole system by then lol.

I've always liked JL - had several different subs since way back. I just wanted to go a 'route less traveled', so to speak, and try something different this time.

I'd like to hear your impressions on the IQ setup once you've got it dialed in. Post some pics too, if u can.

Good luck with it man, and have fun.

My only experience with JL was this in a crew cab Dakota I used to have CP108LG-W3v3 - Car Audio - Subwoofer Systems - MicroSubâ„¢ - JL Audio

Hands down the best sounding little sub I've ever heard.

For my 12 GT I plan on hydrodipping all of the bland flat gray pieces, most likely carbon fiber looking. And I'm contemplating covering the door panels and side of my center console with some ultrasuede. Could get it all done for under 1k and would make my car look infinitely better inside.
