Question Shaker 500 Audio speakers replacement

Coming from an sn95 I've always had the Mach Audio System in it. I knew you couldn't replace the door speaker without replacing the whole system. Is the Shaker 500 Audio System the same way? Or can I get 6x8 replacements without tearing out the whole system?

Are you talking about the 8" woofers or the regular door speakers above them?

Wouldn't mind both. Been researching and the only 8 inch sub would be the Shelby kicker replacement. That's without getting another amp.

Yes you can replace the 6x8 in the front and back. If they are much more powerful I would use an amp for better quality. I'm trying to figure out how to put a 6x8 or equivalent mid range in the 8" woofer spot

I've heard of people just hooking up a better amp to the factory 8" speakers with decent results. There's also a shelby/kicker direct fit replacement but I probably wouldn't bother with that.
The problem with that spot is that even though it sticks out pretty far there really isn't any depth for a good speaker to fit. If I did a stereo build I'd almost want to put the regular door panels in and ditch the 8" setup.

Yeah I thought about that but instead of 2 90w speakers in the door I want 4 lol all hooked to an amp with the 4 8" subs in the trunk 🙉
