How can I better my already upgraded system?

I just had the stock v6 system for an 04 and it was absolutely awful so I threw in 2 Pioneer 3 way 6''-9'' speakers for $105 in the back and 2 Polk Audio 2 way 5''-7'' for about $100 in the front, with a Pioneer DEH-P5900IB Deck with 22 watts output and the ipod adapter. I still want to improve the sound, and I was thinking maybe adding some tweeters, but I dont really know if that would be very easy or atleast possible since I dont know alot about audio. Also I would like to add an amp and sub in the trunk, but I cant go too big because I regularly need my trunk for hockey. Pretty much I just want something that would turn alot of heads without going over the top and sound great for tailgating at my schools football games.

Ive got an alpine type e in its 10in form, and a 500 watt rms amps it sounds good and isnt over the top. Tweaters are a must for a good sounding system, but have no idea where to place them.

You can just have tweeters put into the doors without too much trouble, however you would still need to buy crossovers for them. If I was you I would sell your front speakers and buy new component speakers for the front and keep your rears and run the speakers off a 5 ch amp. That way you can also add a sub to that 5th channel.

If you want to save room you can always go with a 10in sub. My sub and amp will fit around a snowboard bag filled completely next to a duffelbag with half the back seat down.

You don't need tweeters yet by the sound of it. Aftermarket speakers can usually handle the highs pretty good until you throw boomy 12's in the trunk.

You really wanna get crazy on space savings, check this out...JL Audio: TW5 Subwoofers

Theres nothing wrong with putting a 10in sub in the trunk. I have a 10 cvr kicker in mine and have plenty of room But i would have more room if i didn't have the mach 460 system in it. Even with that i still have plenty of room in it for lots of stuff.
