Re: Cluthchless Shifting

yea it's all about matchin the rpms of the motor to the synchros. not hard at all, i used to do it all the time in my car, you let off the gas, and hold it to go in the gear and as the rpms come down it will slide into gear. nothing wrong about it, i heard truckers used to do that alot too. guess it could help save wear and tear on your clutch. i once had my clutch cable break. i was prob 30 min from home, drove the whole way home with no clutch, i find it funny that they are just now talking about it, and some ****** made a video of it. LOL you just can't do it when racing cause it takes more time to shift, but just crusin around it is alot nice to not have to use the clutch.

Re: Cluthchless Shifting

its easy to do when you're going the right speeds... Now, let me put it this way..

Would he be doing this if his car weren't equipped with synchro's that allow for it?

Well he is driving a burner

I shift into 3rd,4th and 5th all the time without the clutch. I had my RPM decay rate set lower with the SCT so I do not get that RPM surge between shifts 3rd is a little tricky at time

Re: Cluthchless Shifting

truckers still do it but thier syncros are cut for it to be that way, it can be done on cars but it can damage syncros and cause the car to start jumping out of gear, i wouldnt do it to any of my vehicles.they do it in big trucks because the huge torque smokes the clutches when they get too hott.

and the white face is a cream....probably went down on kyles g/f and got that rash thing
