Sound, In-Dash DVD Player, The works ... Opinions please.

Hey Guys,

My cd player is pretty much reached the end of it's life span. So with that being said, I want to replace everything. As of now I have 2 12 inch Kicker Solor Barics with a 1400 watt Audiobahn Competition Amp. They are very slightly used. And somewhat old, I may sell those and start over ...

What would you guys recommend? I've never actually heard the kickers ... but i'm used Rockford Fosgate and Sony Xplode and I like them both. But I'd like to stick with one brand throughout .... With that being said, I'd like an Alpine In Dash DVD Touchscreen deal. Has anyone every heard the alpine speakers? I'm going build a fiberglass box and mold the box to my trunk so the subs go there.

Also, has anyone figured out how to kill the rattle sound yet in the trunk?

Not much help here, but, if you sell the kickers, let me know, I may be interested in one or both of them.

Depends on the price....granted, I'm not ready to buy this second...however in a few weeks I would be. How much I grabbed would depend solely on the price specially since I need to figure out which of the 3 cars it would go in.

Alpine anything is a good choice. I have an Alpine sub, amp, headunit, and rear speakers. They all sound good. Now to replace the front speakers and ill be set.

RF makes good products though out. As for Sony Xplods I've never been a fan. Alpine speakers are up there with RF.

I've heard of people using low brand stuff and still getting amazing sound. Sticking with one brand is entirely necessary, although it is nice to not have si much clutter with brand names.

As for the rattle, Dynomat should help a bit.

yeah, i have a ford ranger with a tanneu cover. think I spelled that right ... anyway, I used to do some shows with it, had speakers in the back ... but my gosh! had the bed and tanneu cover lined like, 8 times and still rattled like crazy. guess the sound has to go somewhere. :\
