1998 gt audio deck questions

OK im new here so please bare with me.

I just purchased a 1998 mustang gt with stock audio decks(casset player on top and cd played on bottom of dash)

Can i run a fold away dvd 7" screen on the top deck and on the bottom run any deck i choose?....I know the screen will cover up the temp knobs.

Is there any place you guys know of that sells two decks in a package for mustangs or any other car using two decks as stock.

Were can i get wire info on the car like howto hook up a deck my self and what all i need.

any help is great....sorry if it confusing new to mustangs went from a 1994 ford probe to a gt.

Re: 1998 gt audio deck questions

There's no real need to run 2 seperate decks unless you get just a fold away screen with no dvd player attached. In that case you should be able to run a dvd player on the bottom din and be done.

Or...get a screen that has a built-in dvd player and run a Zim switch plate on the bottom (flashback to 2003)....now you'll just have to settle for a cubby hole.

The switch plate I was referring to hasn't been made in several years...used to be a member on this site 4 or 5 years ago that was making them. You might can still find someone to make something for you though...

I'm not sure if the screen would interfere or not though...I think the din is set back too far in the dash to have the screen set straight up however.
