Impedance

Is it better to have a sub at high higher or lower impedance when wiring it to the amp. I have a dual coil 4 ohms 12'' kicker.

the lower ohms you wire it at, the less amount of resistance you get, so it will get more power at lower ohms, I think with a 4 ohm u can only wire it to 1 ohm or 4 ohms, dual 2 ohm are alot better for wiring in different configs

You can wire Dual Voice Coil Subs that are 4ohms either to 1ohm, 4ohms, or 8ohms.

When you are picking a amp for your subs you need to find a amp tyhat puts out the power you want at 1 or 4ohms.

I went to sound domain and it gave me the options of wiring the sub to a mono amp at 2 ohms if I connect the sub in parallel. Thisis where I got the information
http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/KIC03CVR124
just click on subwoofer wiring options

Yea you can wire one (1) Dual 4ohm Voice Coil Sub to 2ohms. If you add a one (1) more sub to your system and you wired it in parellel it drops it to 1ohm
