how did you paint the door? not the plastic part, the other part?

I'd like to do my doors like the 99 35th anniversary editions were, with that silver... :chin:

I just taped the doors really well, masking tape will fit perfectly in the groove between that and the rest of door panel. I used Krylon Fusion.

Wow Cap't... outstanding job. I like how you included the armrest. You haven't had any problems with the Krylon on the armrest section? I was just considering painting the plastic area (with the window buttons).

Instead, if you add a **** load of flex additive to it, the paint will move and feel factory.

Hey man, you should definatlely paint the interior to match the outside of the car. I've got mine painted to match the interior and it looks nice. My interior is black tho so its a bit easier then tan. I am getting ready to completely redo it tho. The seats will be redone in green and black suede and the headliner and carpet will prolly be green and maybe a few other pieces painted green. Here is a link of my interior if you wanna check it out. Good luck with what you decide to do.

Yeah, I think he went w/ the Decah kit on those doors, and it's not cheap.

That's the tricky part. If you don't do it just right, it'll stay tacky; kinda like it never fully dries. I learned that on my last Stang. I just took the Fusion and some Bond-Aid, alot of time, and a secret.

GoVrtcL, nice interior. It's done real clean. I'd work on that auto shifter boot and new knob.

Hey whassup capthowdy. The doors ran me $2000 shipped and already painted to match the color of my car. I did go with the DECAH kit because they had been doing it longer then the other companies that just got into it.

Hey Dom, wat do you mean about the auto boot and nob? do they make auto boots? that'd be cool if they do. Also, is the nob hard to change? I know you would have to relocate the O/D off button, but anything else annoying you have to do?

When I got my interior pieces painted, I had them painted with my body kit. I think that he sanded them down as much as he could and then primed them and painted them and then cleared them. They feel just like the outside of the car now. I even wax them before shows

I know Redline Goods makes the boots. All leather. $35 for the shift boot but $60 for the shift and ebrake boot. And I think MGW makes the knobs.

Here's Shahrum's interior. He's got the ractive leather boot and MGW red auto-shift knob.

I need a good boot like that, I got the APC boot from Advance Auto...lol. I don't like the ones made for automatics, that just fill the hole for the shifter. I like Shahrum's which like mine covers the entire area.

All you'll have to do is relocate the O/D switch. I know with Redline Goods, you can have one made with your own colors.

I think I'm going to go with some black anodized billet parts for my interior and then a touch of carbon fiber. But I have other mods to get done first

I love the look of carbon fiber. But it gets hot in the sun.
