painting after market body parts

I'm interested in getting cervinis window louvers and side scoops but the paint is a little pricey, is it cheaper to get them unpainted and have them painted by a body shop?

Or, I'm thinking about painting it myself and using spray paint and the clear coat spray paint you can get at home depot... am I crazy or will this actually look passable?

if you want it to match ur body color go to a painter. Rattle cans will never match ur body color especialy anything you buy at home depot.

order the parts and take them to a body shop. it should be around 100-150 to paint all those parts. just make sure to look at some samples of their work before choosing a paint shop.

dont do it yourself unless you want to spend more than you already have to. Go to local (GOOD) body shops and get quotes show them pics and how big they are and see what they charge~ and make sure they will redo them until they match good. See where the best deal is.

Re: painting after market body parts

Find a body shop that does quality work that can get within 1-2 shades of your current color. My body guy can get damn near an exact match for my sonic blue clearcoat, it's amazing how close it is. The other body shop in town, 3 shades off.

A body shop that pays its painters by the hour is usually going to be better than a body shop that pays by the job...at least imo.
