Body upgrades for LX coupe

So i was doing some research last night. I want to upgrade the looks of my 1993 mustang lx couple.

Rims going with chrome 03/04 cobra
Hood trying to find a fiberglass one that looks like a 03/04 cobras or just the cobra R.

So when i was doing research im guessing the mustang gt(hatchback) is not the same body as a lx coupe(notchback)?
I want to go with the cobra body kit, but i could not find a body kit for the lx only the gt.
I do like the Saleen body kit an found one for a lx, but dont really like the rear bumper.

Anyone with some good sites to find them, an has anybody used a after market kit like the cobras or saleens if so how are they an how does it fit on the car??

Re: Body upgrades for LX coupe

You can use the Cobra kit on the LX, you just have to get some of the moldings off a GT. The molding that goes all down the sides of the car are larger on the GTs than they are the LX.

www.cervinis.com is the best place to get them.

Re: Body upgrades for LX coupe

the GT kits already have the body molding molded into the GFX, all you would need to do it find door moldings.

IMHO coupes start to look like *** once u start putting all the ground effects and whatnot on them.

The cervini heat extractor hood for the 87-93 foxes that looks like the 03/04 cobra hood doesnt even come close to matching the lines on the fox...looks like the took the mold and just reshaped the outside to fit between the fox fenders.

I agree with you when you start to put ground effects on coupes. Im really looking to change the front bumper, maybe the rear who knows...

But thanks for the notice on the hood because it looks good in the picture!
Think im going to go with the cobra r hood

Re: Body upgrades for LX coupe

yea it looks good in the picture in cervinis. There is a thread about it over on corral if you search of a guy putting it on his car...looks like ***.

The only options you have are LX front/rear bumpers, the rest will look funny without the proper fender/quarter panel extensions and side skirts.
