I would say yes, swap engines if that one is in good shape. However, I would go into it as a long term major upgrade and not just a flat motor swap. You should refresh the 4.6 before you install it so it would be like a brand new motor.
You will also need to make sure you have all the parts you will need to do this swap. A number of them can probably be pulled from the t-bird like the motor, computer, harness, trans, and probably rear end. So you would probably be ahead of the game there. But you will need to make sure that everything you will need will be a direct or nearly direct swap.
Also, like was already asked, have you ever done something like this before? If you plan on having a shop do it, then no, this isn't really worth it. Labor is going to run the happy price of $700 up real quick.
