Welcome!

You might be able to find better response on gears/suggestions in the tech forum, however -
As far as rear end gears go - Rears are a touchy item - I HIGHLY recommend you get new ONLY. I also know many shops will only guarantee the install if you purchase a Ford Racing rear. Check with nqsperformance or americanmuscle (links at top) to see if they support 7.5" rears, if not I know many people who have had good luck with Motive gearsets

Also, know that the install of the part will cost more than the part itself, expect most good shops to charge approx 4 hours labor

Re: newbie from j'ville nc

welcome :thumbs2:

Gears are one of the most effective mods for the v6. Common saying is 3.73's for manuals, 4.10's for autos. I'd also look into a tlok to go along with the gears. It can be installed with the gears at the same time, and will improve launches, traction, and allow two wheel burnouts.

Ford Racing 7.5" 28 Spline Traction - LOK Limited Slip Differential at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

You'll also want some gear oil when installing the gears.

exhaust
cai
tune
rear gears
underdrive pulley
lowering the car
rims/tires
shifter if manual
brakes from a cobra model (cheap, just need rotors and calipers (brake lines)) and for rear no need to upgrade anything
