Hello to everyone I have recently desided to try the forums to meet new people and draw from their experiences with Mustangs. I have 2 Stangs a 91 LX Hatchback that has been mildly modified and is my daily driver and a 03 Mach1 that is bone stock. I have been working cars and motorcycles since I was a kid 30+ years. I have alot to offer and am sure the members do too. Look forward to interacting with all of you.

Hi there to every pony rider.

I'm Blackhawk and new to the site.Browsing thru Google in search of some questions I have about some new problems with my old horsey(used to be a pony back in ....1995)I found this site and decided to give it a try.
I am also brand new to CA and live in a Sacramento suburb transplanted from the East Coast, precisely NJ so if anyone here is from the Garden State, hello from me to all.

Though I don't know much about cars and technical issues I believe that being here I could very well learn a few things or two,and maybe I'll go at least better prepared to an auto shop to fix my car if problems surface.

So thanks to all and please let me ride with you into that great sunset,
Cheers,
Blackhawk

Re: new member

Hi Guys and first thanks to all for your nice welcome addressed to your humble ..pale riderI am like this because my little old pony has some problems and I don't know how to take care of him to make him better and running again.Well,it all started last night when right before going on the freeway he started to shake and the engine simply died on me...I thought it was the battery though I took 2 months ago the car to Midas(big mistake!!!)and those guys they fixed gaskets and put new oil filter and cleaned coolant system and said it was fine...so far they were wrong!

To make it short,I called a friend to come to give me a jump start and he came and put the cables etc and when he turned the key ,it didn't do anything so he checked the battery and when he did this the wires got loose and then his wrench touched the battery and made huge sparks and he said that it has juice in it and looked better and saw there was some oil leakage under the engine. The size of a 5-8" spot. Then checked the dipstick and it had some oil(about 1" on it) but not enough...though the Midas boys filled the oil pump.I guess it leaked each day a little and they didn't do a good job!
Anyways, being night ,my friend said he'll come over to my place today but he couldn't make it and it is set for Monday so he can look in the daylight and also will bring tools and technical instruments etc etc.So I cannot say to much here except that I am so scared that there's problem with engine and I know this costs a lot...I could only ask you what you think and give your estimate of how much will it be...I cannot afford more than $1400...do you believe it will be more than this??? Could it be the battery?Electric?Fuses?Gaskets?...I'll get back to you sometime Monday.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this questions...but thanks again for being nice to me.I very much appreciate this.Cheers to ALL,
Blackhawk
