Re: HELP THE NEW GUY

Is it an aftermarket alarm system? What about the key, does the butt end have a big plastic base around it? Or is it all metal?

Re: HELP THE NEW GUY

ok update...been working on this lil 4.6 pony and have found out that the alarm arms itself after about 15-20 seconds..t is automatic and will do it on its own..is this normal? anyway just changed all of the fluids..had a tranny leak on the dipstick tube o ring..what a huge pain in the butt it was to remove it..do love the fact that the converter has a drain plug in it....so far about 500.00 dollars in parts.. i noticed that the rear end must have some tall gears..and the bearings in the right rear are making some noise..what next? good thing i love my ford

Re: HELP THE NEW GUY

that alarm is not factory, its aftermarket so we wont be be much help unless someone that knows what type of alarm or how to wire them replies. I dont know of any aftermarket alarm that turns off with a key~ you should be using the fob to unlock the car anyway I never use my key hold on my door lol, to much risk of scratching the paint.

Re: HELP THE NEW GUY

Do you also have a remote start? What does the key fob look like?
