Hello from Germany

Hello,

my name is Nicole, and I live in Germany.
My dream is a Ford Mustang, and now I am lokking for a V6 Premium 2010 in the States.
It is a bit difficult to buy a Stang in a foreign country, and bring it to Germany, but I think I will make it.
I read your posts here for getting informations, and it is a great forum!

So I hope, I will get my Dream car!

And sorry, my english is not so good, don´t laugh, if I write something wrong.

Many greeting from Germany

Nicole

Re: Hello from Germany

I would like the colour "Red Candy metallic", it is a wonderful colour, I saw one Stang in this colour here, and I must have it!

Re: Hello from Germany

Thank you for your nice welcome!

Getting a car to Germany is a real adventure!
First thing is the freight, to the harbour an then shipping to Germany. This ist not very expensive, about 1,000 $.

But after being in Germany ist will be complicated. First I have to pay 10% Importtax. Then 19% salestax.

Then the car is "legal" in Germany, but I am not allowed to drive it. First, I have to change the lights, they are not allowed. Then I have to change the flash lights, they may not be together with the brake lights. THer are several other little things, I dont´t habe everything in mind.

After having changed all, I have to go for a technical inspection, if everything is right. This costs about 1,000 € (1,350.00$). In Germany, all cars have to go there every 2 years to check, if they are o.k, but the first time for an imported car is very expensiv. After thar, it costs only 50.00 € (70.00 $) every two years.

That ist all. If the car costs 20,000.00 $, for me ist costs until I can use it about 21,000.00 € (28,000.00 $) - and many sweat.

But such a car - it ist worth!

Re: Hello from Germany

Welcome! Your English isn't bad especially considering it's a 2nd language and one of the hardest to learn. I've seen far worse from people who were born and raised here. Keep on looking for your Mustang, don't give up. You will have so much fun with the Mustang in Germany. Feel free to post, or ask any questions.. Everyone will do their best to answer.

Re: Hello from Germany

welcome

Hope everything works out for you and you get your dream car! Mustangs are amazing cars, you won't be disappointed. The process of getting the car does seem rigorous and expensive, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.

...and your English is plenty fine, as said above there are tons of people born/raised here who don't even try.
