Love Bugs in the air

Welcome to all you Mustang fans. Am sitting in a Thermal Desktop lecture at the HQ at Kennedy Space Center today. It is a little boring.

Weather is great here, I have been driving with the top down ,(1999 red convertible Mustang), however, the "love bugs" are swarming right now.

I got bugs in the little hair I still have left yesterday.

Anyone reading posts know what I am talking about?

Signing off...

Re: Love Bugs in the air

I noticed a couple this weekend, we have not been hit much in the past year if I remember right. Less woods for them to live in I guess.

Re: Love Bugs in the air

I've seen a few around...but I'm hoping this rain doesn't make them show up in swarms like usual.

Their acid dead bodies eat the paint if not taken off immediately.

Their not quite dead bodies will also eat the paint for food until they die at which time their dead bodys will continue to etch your paint.

Re: Love Bugs in the air

Love bugs are a nightmare! Although I suspect the extremely cold winter may have played a role in eliminating the swarms this year. I imagine we will see a good many at the 2nd half of the year just before winter.
