New person says, "Hi!"

This looks like a great site and I'm having fun looking around.

I'm a senior citizen who has two Mustangs. I have a red 1992 GT that I bought new and have been seriously working on for about four years. (You can see it at my web page or in the MY GARAGE section.) Before that it was the family "truck".

My work car is a mineral grey 2002 GT that I bought new. It has a few mods and a lot of miles. I haven't posted anything about it yet.

Just wanted to say "Hello" and offer any help I can give.
Happy Holidays to everyone,
Jim

Brent,
Yesterday I ordered an X303 from Woody Anderson Ford in your town. It's for a 347 that's being built by Thumper of Orange Park, FL.

It's cold (at least what we Southerners know about cold) today. Not so much the temp as the wind. BTW, my boss is a Georgia Tech engineer.

Thanks Aidan_04. Are you a native of Mississippi? Meridian, MS is my home town. Grew up there, or almost grew up there, depending on who you're talking to.

kinda, sorta... I might as well be though. I was born and lived through 5th grade in Gainesville, Florida, then moved up to Tupelo to be near family.. now I'm at MSU for college. I love it here... and if I'd never moved, I'd've missed out on sooo many wonderful experiences. One of which should be along when he gets off work. He's from Greenville.

Re: New person says, "Hi!"

Thanks Nicole for the welcome.

Your Mustang looks great! You noted in you list that you were up for a suspension.

I put a Steeda stage 1 in my 2002 GT and I really like it. The kit included springs, strut brace, caster/camber plates and a rear sway bar that is in addition to the stock one.

I put KYB adjustable strut & shocks along with 9" & 10" Bullitts with Dunlop 8000 in 255/40 and 315/35.

I'll add a picture of the 2002 on my Garage.

With a V6 it should be even better balanced. Go for it!

Hey welcome man, good lookin fox you've got there. I read your post in another thread about what your setup was, and we basically have the same motor's except for the cobra intakes. That little bit of giggle gas helps yours out too

Thanks, Zim
Love the stance you have on your car. It looks like it's ready to launch on the unsuspecting! Did the A9L swap improve it a lot. I've read that it really makes the tuning easier. Is that true? The 94-95's are some of my favorites.

I didnt do the a9l swap, it came with the car. Seems like it responds pretty well to all the mods so far though, as I dont really have any problems with it.

Re: New person says, "Hi!"

good to see you around JWYCHE, this site needs as many real world experienced engine builders it can get... BTW let us all know what the numbers are on that 347 when you get done with it, I've heard many great things about thumper, but never any dyno or ET's

interested to see just how well it performs.

Re: New person says, "Hi!"

SSB,
I don't think I've ever seen dyno sheets of Thumpers work. I've read several articles that support the claims on his page regarding track times, though. The original E7's from my red car are still on the shelf. I'm sending him my Edelbrock Performer heads to work.

It will probably be February before everything is buttoned up. Shortly after that the little red monster is going to the dyno for a retune.

Do you know anyone using the PMS from Anderson Motorsports? I think I want one of those to finish this project. I have an Xcalibrator II for my 2002. Wish that one would work with th EECIV.
Jim

BTW, do you run at Huntsville? We see some Rocket City folks from time to time at Brainerd Optimist Drag Strip here in Chattanooga.
