New Stanger on the block

Hey guys I just joined up, Im on 3.8mustang.com and thought I would join up here as well. I have a 2000 V6 Mustang that has an 04 interior which im still currently trying to figure out the wiring for the rear window defroster switch, Windstar Intake, SCT excal 2 tuner, 8.8 in GT rearend with 3.73 gears, and swaped to a T5 manual trans. Alot of people say Im wasting my time and money hoppin up a V6 but I want to be different. When it comes to an engine swap Im going with the 4.2 from an F150 instead of the V8. Ill post pictures later because its late and Im tired. I just wanted to swing by and say hello.

Re: New Stanger on the block

welcome

Sounds like you have a nice start for the 4.2...a stronger rear end and tuner will be nice when you have the new engine in there.

Yeah thats what Im hopin for. though right now I might need my rearend rebuilt as I think my T-Lock went bad. Free spin the tires move like an open differential. I thought they were supposed to rotate in the same dirrection????

Re: New Stanger on the block

Nice car Man. Can I ask what wheels you are running on it? Are they 17" diameter? They look very much like a set I have on an Australian GT I own (1993 model), minus the flat centre cap.

thanks. Im asuming there is a reason though behind why a V6 isnt modded much in the Mustang world.
