She is actually my first car, I bought her 3 years ago and have no plans to sell, although I'm looking into buying an old '69 fastback and fixing that one up as well. All in good time though.

If you go with gears I would suggest 3.73's if you make any sufficiant power you'll never get traction with 4.10's. I pulled a rearend out of a GT that had been rebuilt w 3.73's but the guy totalled the car and sold it to me for $300. I got a really good deal.

As for the rest of my mods (which not all of them are in my sig. I left out CAI, EGR delete, rear seat delete, performance tune on 93 octane with X-CAL 3 tuner, and cosmetic mods of course) They come slowly but surely, the only bolt on I'm missing is long tube headers which I am anxious to buy Then hopefully Kyle will get his *** to my house and help me install this stupidly huge cam. Makes me excited just thinking about it.

Anyway, Im rambling..
you missed a good deal i had a set of MAC long tube headers straight from mac not ebay knock off for sale on her for $200, there $369 plus shipping on the mac site. they were chrome! oh well, ya know what would be nice with the windstar swap....a vortech....check this guys set up out..and yes its a six. he had a windstar upper intake and wanted to intercool his vortech, he made some custom piping and this beast was born! im gonna attach the video below!

Re: New V6 girl from Texas :)

Zebs is selling his long tube headers! I was thinking about picking them up but I need gas money to visit my mama in PA. I wish I knew and bought a Mustang as my first car and not my '93 POS Eclipse! I saw the light a little late but loving it now! I can't see myself without a stang now.

Your sixxer is a lil beast!

Upton7 usually takes the blunt of our insults as he is still in a learning phase and tends to speak out before researching or saying something hilarious.

Do you still have the quad shocks on the rear end when you did the swap? Some other things you could look into doing include:

Aluminum Driveshaft, Aluminum Flywheel with Clutch Combination. On the cheaper side you should look into a clutch adjuster and quadrant. What short shifter brand did you decide to go with? Lastly if your into rough rides you could do a swap into a UPR or any other brand tubular k-member and A-arms. Although I recommend you find an aftermarket k-member that allows for you to keep the same spring perch, sway bar, and strut set-up rather than coils as you will definitely pick up a rough ride.

The flywheel and driveshaft will allow you to lose rotating mass which will help you rev quicker. While most of the other mods and those focus on losing some weight. You could weigh in pretty low with the hood and the others...

Where did you pick up the hood at? I imagine its a lightweight fiberglass?

Welcome to the site! No one here is douchy or mean we get along for the most part. You've come to the right Forum. From a guy's perspective: It's awesome to see more females with Mustangs out there.

Wow thanks, yeah I was actually considering flywheel/driveshaft swap, I'm just broke right now lol

I'm in the learning phase to, I think you can ever know everything there is to know about your vehicle, but then again, there are some people who have a way of showing it that just makes them seem like an idiot.. it's okay, he'll learn eventually.

Can you add me on FB, I'd like to chat a little more about mods, haha since I don't get on here all that often I'd like you to be a little more handy. That probably sounds bad, sorry

Anyway thanks!!

Re: New V6 girl from Texas :)

I remember the aluminum drive shaft I put on my 01 v6 did help, its 10lbs lighter (but every 1lb of rotating mass is about 10lbs of dead weight) so you gain a touch of hp/tq from the less weight you are throwing around and it helps gas mileage~ overall I liked it.... it was 150 bucks back then.. they cost a bit more than that now.

Yes, we should. Although Brent does make income from Advertisements on the site, and gambling with the stock market.

Nice ride. and yes I also love to see women in a sport that was dominated by male egos. I have seen this so many times sometimes we need a dose of reality. Enjoy and would love the chance to hear about those ETs.

Re: New V6 girl from Texas :)

Greatings fellow texan, Heatherlynne. Nice car and great work! When I started working on my sixer and subscribing to some forums, I didn't realize how many people there were out there with the V6 and a ton of mods. Seeing what others have gave me some great insight on what I can do, and you just added a bit more to my list. Can't wait to get back to the states and finish mine up!

Re: New V6 girl from Texas :)

Welcome Heather! I also live in Texas (Fredericksburg) so I'm not that far from you! I have a '10 sixer, but I'm not savvy enough to do my own work on her. I know what you mean about not having the $$ to do what you want....of course, I've spent most of my excess funds sprucing up my bike instead of my car. There's a Mustang Club out of San Antonio that displays Mustangs (and other cars) at the Rim once a month. They meet the first Wednesday (if I remember correctly) at a restaurant, but I don't have the time to keep driving all the way down there to get together with them. I got an invite from Mustang Club of America when I bought Ivory, I'm just waiting for the $$ to do that.
