You should change your custom title from resident ******* to resident idiot. While you are an *******, I think the idiot portion is definitely more dominant. 19"s are about the perfect size on an 05.

But to the thread starter, ignore this guy and welcome to ME.

in that case i hope you have all your carpet stripped out of your car because of the weight you'd save because performance is that much more important to you than appearance

Re: Noob!

Heck, even certain 20's look good on `05's. If the rim looks good of itself, 19's are certainly acceptable on the newer ones.

Example of 20's on Mom's car:

Performance in what? The Bullitt482 Fan Club?

Go to an autocross and see what the guys are running. Less sidewall equals less flex equals more cornering.

Just because you live life a quarter mile at a time doesn't mean everyone else does. Go masterbate to pictures of Barbara Streisand and, in the meantime, get over yourself.

Mainly what I'm getting at is this: If you have an opinion, that's cool. However, if you want to degrade new members in their welcome thread, that's not cool.

Re: Noob!

Welcome to the Evolution! Another S197! woohoo! We are EVERYWHERE!!! (kinda like a modern day plague lmao)

Just curious, what size sidewall are you running on those 19's? looks like there is an awful lot of space between the tire and fender, especially if your car is lowered.

and yes, less sidewall does mean less flex and more cornering (to a point)...not enough side wall means blown tires and no cornering at all...overload a short sidewall in a corner and you'll be walking home...

I run both auto-x and drag racing, so I have some experience at both...

:yup: Tastefully stripped. Going to put some more carpet in back to cover up the nasty floor in the back, but that is only to save weight since we got the wrong backspaced wheels. Hopefully we'll find some inexpensive 10 holes this summer, then we can put the back seat back in.

There is a difference in degrading and giving my opinion. Sounds like you are turning into one of those politically correct people who doesn't want to offend anyone.

I gave a warm welcome, but said I didn't like the wheels. If the original poster was offended, he/she(for other possible cases) is more than willing to say, "That's what I like" and won't bother me a bit. Too each his/her own and I respect that. I'm a critic, sue me .

Can we please not scare off members with drama, and drop this?

P.S. It's masturbate, not masterbate.

Hum, let me think.... No.

Its like they say, "Whats good for the Goose is good for the Gander." Or how about, "What goes around comes around." Meaning you enjoy arguing with people, and now people are arguing with you. 19's and 20's look great on the S197. New Z06's, Vipers, and Ford GT's all wear big wheels and are great performance cars.

BTW a Gander is a Goose with a penis.

Re: Noob!

There is a difference between opinions and personal attacks right? Just checking. I don't mind heated debates or arguments on appearences and performance and so on.. Again I say, too each their own and I respect that. And no, I don't like arguing with people.
