Newbie v6 mustang owner

hello everybody. i own a 2001 mustang that my grandfather gave to me for my 14th birthday. havent done anything to it YET! in the future im getting chrome bullitt wheels, dual flowmasters and a programmer and a diffrent shifter { i hate the clunky feeling shifter} I am detemined to build this 3.8 stang to be able to beat my dads 68 plymouth in a drag race. he says im in over my head but i know that little 3.8 has ponential. im also building it so all these primered hondas with 5 inch exhaust tips in my town know that mustangs {v6 or not} rule the streets. NOT THEM! im glad i joined this fourm and im sure it will be helpful and fun

Re: Newbie v6 mustang owner

welcome to the family!! glad to hear the ambitious remarks! got my first mustang when i was 17, a 1998 3.8 convertible ....I have a tun of great memorys in that car, she gave me some of the best years of high school and just starting out on my own. I put true duals on her and a bottle of nitrus just for a little extra kick, that car was amazeing. good luck with yours, hope you end up with half the fond memorys I had with mine when I was younger, and lastly be safe. dont ask of her more that you are capeable of handleing. or you will be asking us how to rebuild her lol! point in case .....see below video. be easy, and again welcome to the family -Bry

v6's can be made fast, some have pushed 700rwhp out of them so its just a matter of research and money. Research so you know the right parts to buy and not waste your money.

Re: Newbie v6 mustang owner

welcome

The 99-04 v6 is a fun platform with lots of potential. As said if money, time, and research is put forth properly you can have a great v6. Post any questions you might have in the v6 section.

I remember when I was 14. The enthusiasm to someday spank the one responsible for bringing me around these cars. I have yet to beat him but it's always a goal to keep in mind.
