hood pins or no hood pins...that is the question

sup people. i gots me a red 2005 v6 mustang with a 2 and a half inch cowl hood with white racing stripes. looks like a gt. but! what do the all the stang fans here think if i would put hood pins on it. i would like to make it look awesome. but i dont want to add something to make it look corny or over due my cars style. ive seen single colored stangs with them and idk if the stripes on my car will make the pins look cheesy. what yall think?

I would leave it the way it is unless you have this desired notion to change the car to make it more yours. I think they look cool but to me they just aren't for my car.

if the hood has a chance of coming off put pins on it. They make them now that dont come through the hood, or they also have them that are not as noticeable.

I personally dont like them, makes the car look cheap like the hood isnt good enough to latch the normal way or high quality enough.

Many think it looks retro, same reason back then why they used them.

i have hood pins on my 88 fox body but that is mostly because sometimes the latch would fail and the hood would fly open on me. i like the look of hood pins on certain vehicles, others i don't. i wouldn't have them on my foxbody if i didn't have to.

They look good, but I wouldn't put any on mine, had them on my T-bird and they just rusted away. It was an eyesore with the rust.

I vote no unless you need them to meet some track safety day thing, I always felt they break up the lines too much..

It depends on the car for me. I would say no on yours, though.

The verdict is out for me I'd say no for now. I'm on your page though it would look nice with something more up there. Just can't think of what right now.

Re: hood pins or no hood pins...that is the question

Had them on my first fox with 3 1/2" cowl and they rusted out on me. They look good but try powder coating them the color of the car so they don't stand out tell you walk up on the car.
