I'd say exhaust and a tune...those 2v's sound pretty good with the right exhaust, and possibly a short throw shifter...and post up some pics dammit!

In regards to exhaust, which site would you recommend?

Re: Just got my gt and have no clue what to do first

Damn son! You picked up one of those 40th Anniversary Edition GT's in Crimson Red.

Looks like a real clean car...sharp too

Yah definitely get rid of the fish pole...get a nice shorty antenna, 8" or 14".

For exhaust you can check American Muscle, CJ Pony Parts, Stangmods, hell pretty much every mustang vendor out there sells exhaust. If you want to hear what certain brands sound like on the 2v's, check out either the manufacturer's website or youtube.

Ya, I'm more of a hunter than a fisher lol, and opinion on exhaust is more aimed at quality and customer experience, I hate buying something then calling two weeks later to find out it's on back order...
For a tuner would you recommend SCT over a diablo? Or neither?

Re: Just got my gt and have no clue what to do first

u can make ur own shorty antennae
just cut it with a saw, grind it down small enough to where the ball can fit back over it, put super glue in the hole and on the tip, then put it on and hold it on there and let it dry. then if you want just spray paint the whole thing black.

Yah I don't blame you there...I've had a few bad experiences with companies and won't go back...one in particular was RPM Outlet, I ordered my exhaust from them and it took quite a while to get here, then the shipping order form was for an exhaust system to a guy in Pennsylvania with a Dodge Ram

Thank god the right exhaust came.

I've never had any order or customer service issues with CJ, American Muscle, Stangmods, Ninosports, MPS Auto Salvage, or UPR Products. Some places like American Muscle say whether the part is in stock or not.

For a tuner, I'd recommend SCT..much easier to use and the good tuners use SCT..Bamachips thru American Muscle and VMP tuning...both do excellent work regarding tunes.

Thanks man! I love it! I had no clue what I was missing out on...
So here is a question, how long does it tAke to switch modes with a SCT? I do alot of highway and city, am I able to have it on a fuel saver mode on the freeway and then pull over and switch it to performance right there and then or do o have to plug it into a pc to change it, sorry I'm somewhat new to stangs... I've only ever built trucks and jeeps

nice you have a 40th anniv edition, you dont see very many and the OEM rims are RARE so dont sell them etc.

I would do a tuner with the ability to update tunes down the road from what ever tune source you use.

Tuner/gears combo from am. It's hard to get more power out of our 2v motors without alot of money. That is the best bang for buck. And pull the silencer off the airbox. Free cai
